Dining with Friends

This evening we were fortunate to be invited to the house of some good friends for dinner with a whole group of friends. There is nothing nicer than a meal shared and even nicer enjoyed in the comfort of someone's home. The company was very enjoyable and the food was divine!

The main was beef fillet steak with a mushroom sauce (that I had to go back for seconds of), new potatoes and two fresh salads. Dessert was these stunning examples presented beautifully. One was a chocolate mousse set perfectly. The other was lemon posset topped with a fresh raspberry - two of my favourite flavours. I was in heaven!

Dining at home like this is such a great way to have delicious and fancy food for a fraction of the cost. it makes me want to get my recipe books out again and get some planning done for a meal at our home to entertain guests. Hopefully among them I can find a lemon posset recipe to make and enjoy myself!
