Outdoor Fires and Marshmallows

 This trip away we decided to take our brazier up to our holiday home as we thought it would fit in well here. We light it occasionally at home but thought we might be more inclined to do it when we are on holiday so I thing this is a better place for it to reside. 

We have some piles of old wood to clean up from around the property and some damaged timbers from the beginnings of renovations so thought it would be the perfect way to get rid of them and provide a place to sit and chat as the night descended.

We spent the evening hanging around together toasting marshmallows and making s'mores. It always quietly pleases me how the fire and the promise of something sweet brings the kids out to hand together with their parents, away from social media.

We spent a lovely evening just enjoying watching the flames and putting more wood on to keep the fire going then toasting marshmallows in the embers. It was a low cost evening but one where we were able to enjoy being together and making memories. I can't wait to do it again!
