It never fails to make me feel better going and soaking in hot water and hearing the sounds of moving water. It was very cold overnight with a -3 degrees C frost this morning. It was white out there but it does mean it was followed by a clear blue sky and sunshine day.
We decided to go to the hot pools to warm our bones and relax and chat and it was so restorative. Everyone seems so relaxed there that the overall vibe of the place is always a positive one and I am sure that is part of what makes me feel good. We tried out several pools. The best one by far today was the 40 degree C natural sulfur pool.
No money was spent to enjoy this as I used our annual pass card which has now already had the cost covered in visits here and anytime we go now is essentially for free. I came away feeling a bit more ready to face the next challenges ahead in my husband's cancer journey as we head off tomorrow to get the first planning underway. This won't come cheaply as we've now exhausted the options that are publicly funded but this is where I am eternally grateful for our good saving history as we have money there to pay for the treatment which we had saved for an overseas trip a couple of years ago that had to be deferred due to his diagnosis and then COVID. I never dreamed it would need to be used for something like this but am happy it is there all the same. Now I hope with all my heart that it works!
