The Joy of Warm Water

I have spent a lot of my day ferrying children around and got home at 7:30 this evening feeling shattered. (My whole week has been like this as my husband is not allowed to drive again after having brain surgery and our electric car is in at the panel beaters being repaired so our daughter has to rely on mum again). Our kind neighbour had made dinner for us so after eating this I decided the perfect time to go and sit in the spa pool.

With the weather cooling a bit as it turns autumnal it has been making our spa pool very tempting and it was good to find the time and excuse to get in. Not having been in it for a while it felt like such a treat. I savoured being able to slide into the warm water and feel enveloped by its embrace. I felt safe and contented.

We bought the spa pool about 4 years ago after having it on our wish list for a long time and it has been a purchase that we have not regretted. Over the years the children have gone and sat in it together and just talked. They have had great times with friends and I have been able to share it with one or other or all of my children at some point, allowing us to sit and chat device free. Sometimes it is just my husband and I who get to sit in it together and find time to talk or just sit in silence and watch the sun set or the wind in the trees. The WiFi works out there so I have been known to head out on my own once everyone is in bed and just sit in the warm water and catch up on some TV viewing.

With the summer being so hot we have used the spa a bit less but with the evenings cooling down I am looking forward to getting some more use out of it again - something we already own that gives us so much pleasure. One of my favourite things is that moment when you slide into the warm water and I am looking forward to more times of being able to do this. Bliss!
