Nature's Healing Power

When life gets even more stressful than I ever thought it could going on a drive with my kind sister-in-law and her mum and sister was a lovely thing to do and very helpful!

On top of my husband's recent brain surgery we have had the fallout for my daughter at university who has decided to withdraw for now as she is feeling overwhelmed by decisions about her course, a difficult flatmate situation making life unpleasant and feeling far away from home with everything we have going on. My sister-in-law offered to drive me down to see her which was so much appreciated as it wasn't something we could discuss over the phone.

Today she is at work so we went for a drive out to this headland to a place I had never been where the wind was blowing in off the sea and the colours in the water were stunning. We stood and watched the waves and the wind blew our hair in crazy directions and we laughed. As I stood there I imagined the wind blowing my stressors away and watching the sun reflecting across the ocean was very uplifting - something I really need at present.

Nature has a way of mending the soul. Each time I go out and spend time looking at the natural world I never cease to come away feeling better in some way. Sharing it with special people in my life makes it even better and the beautiful photos I got of this place are a reminder of how it made me feel. Nature is good like that!
