Cloudwatching

I love the everchanging sky and the way the clouds provide so much beauty - especially when the sun is rising or setting. This afternoon we went for a soak in the hot pools just before dinner and got to sit and watch the ever changing sky as we relaxed in the warm water. The sun was getting low in the sky and the wind must have been blowing high in the sky as the clouds were moving quite fast so there was always something new to see if you looked away even briefly.

These two photos were taken only five minutes apart looking at the same view from where I was sitting in the hot pools. I love the way they look both look like a moody impressionist painting and how the intensity of the colours changed as the sun lowered in the sky.

It was a timely reminder that by lookiing up there is always something new to see. Having the time to stop and look means you won't miss these moments and if you capture them on camera you can always go back and marvel at them again.

Take a look skyward next time you are out and about - see what you notice...
