Daylight Savings
Another day spent doing some chores and cleaning the house before we head away on holiday for a few days over Easter. It was most productive and satisfying and knowing that we will come back from holiday to a clean house is always an incentive to get it done.
My son had football training and I take this opportunity to go and sit in the car and read or think or watch a Netflix programme for and hour and a half. It is a good time out for me 3 times a week.As I was sitting there today I enjoyed the Autumn evening light through the trees and remembered that this weekend daylight savings is coming to an end.
I have always loved daylight savings and the extra hours it gives in the summer evenings. I always feels a bit sad when it ends but it will make the dark mornings lighter for a bit and the evenings perfect for cosying up in front of the fire. The added bonus is the weekend it ends we put the clocks back so the reward is the feeling of an extra hour to have a lie in on Sunday morning this weekend!
Goodbye to Summer and hello to Winter. The change of seasons will bring a lot of new things into my day - warm socks and jumpers, merino wool clothing, reading snuggle on the sofa under a blanket, walks in the cold air, silhouettes of trees against the sky. Time to ponder and reflect...
