Holiday Vibes

My husband and I have been able to make a quick overnight trip up to our holiday house to get a few small jobs done and have a mini break. We have left the kid at home because they are old enough to look after themselves and because they are old enough not to want to go away with their parents all the time. (Sigh!)

Even though it's only for one night it feels like a mini holiday. The jobs we have to do are relatively minor so won't take long.  I took the photos of the scenery that we are greeted with every time we come. It is so different each time and whenever I see this place I know that relaxation is ahead. This view means holiday! We have arrived and relished the peace and quiet. I have savoured a gin and tonic, sat and read a magazine and enjoyed my husband's company. There's not much else I could ask for...

We did both manage to forget our phone chargers so there will be minimal screen time possible as we have to remain available for the kids. I think that will be one of the best things we could have forgotten and it will allow us to really take time out and relax. I am loving these holiday vibes!
