Nature's Paintings

With all of the tripping around we have been up and down our drive a number of times in the last few days and commenting on the beautiful autumn colours and the drifting leaves as they fall from the tress. As we are always heading somewhere or returning home after a long day we never stop to soak in the beauty.

Today I had more time and actually took that time to stop and take some photos and revel in the intensity of the beautiful colours in the late setting sun and the majesty of the trees that we often take for granted. It is a colour palate that I could never tire of.

The intensity of the green seedlings of water cress flaoting on the stream at our gate and the carpet it forms for the leaves to land on creates something magical that I don't think I could create in my head. It makes me feel very fortunate to live where we do and grateful to Mother Nature for the colour palate she uses in her paintings at this time of year.

Tomottoe I think I will take the time to actually walk the length of our whole driveway so I can actually take the time to soak it all in - good for the soul I think!
