New Angles

It never ceases to amaze me how the same building can look so different in different lighting. I like to take the time to stop and notice this as it makes the old look new to me again.

We have been holidaying at little house over the Easter break and having a lovely time. I always wondered if going to the same place on repeated occasions ran the risk of becoming boring. I know my husband was worried about that when we bought this place. However we needn't have worried.

Each time we come here it feels like new again despite its warm familiarity as we can go several weeks between visits sometimes. Different trips have been at different times of the year so the weather and seasons have varied. The people we have gone with varies each time so gives us a new experience. We do holiday in other places also while others rent our place so this provides enough variation but we love arriving back at our same house with our own things around us and a familiar rhythm to each day spent there.
Getting to take photos for my Instagram feed for this little house encourages me to look at it from different angles each time and getting to take these photos in different lights and with different skies always makes it feel like I have something new to enjoy. I particularly love this new photo I took this evening - what do you think?
