Old Books
This book is one of my recent finds. It is a bit tatty but that added to its appeal - that and the fact that it was in a free box so cost me nothing. Will I ever read it? I'm not sure but I enjoy its title and the old story idea and the fact is is written around a real cottage in England that also happens to have an a-framed part which appeals to one of my other obsessions at present.
We have plans for a large bookcase in our study that has been on the cards for the whole time we've lived in our house but as it is something I want to get right and pay for in full then it has not been done yet. The other reason it is being held up is the large pile of books I have accumulated in the study that I will need to move out so we can measure up the space. And I keep buying books in the meantime... It is a catch 22. See my problem? I have been good lately and culled a few to take up to the free library exchange near our holiday house but often I do come home with something in exhange so that doesn't always work. I have sold some online for a small profit so that has been another way to clear out and make some cash in the meantime. Maybe I should start a bookcase fund...
Unfortunately that problem doesn't stop me from buying a book or two (or picking up a free one) especially if it is an old book. Who knows what treasure I may find inside...
