Armchair Traveller

Day 11 in lockdown and it has been gray and drizzly so we had the fire going and spent the time mooching around indoors. It was rather blissful!

I got some jobs done early then had the rest of the day free to potter so i used the time to sort and delete photos on my phone - a big job! It was quite satisfying and cathartic. A feeling of decluttering.

I did find myself looking wistfully at all of the places we've been in the last year and not being able to go anywhere at all, due to being on "house arrest", made me yearn for some scenery to enjoy. Looking at photos is not the same as being out in nature however looking at these images allowed me to conjure up the memories of being out in these wild places with my family, making memories. Now I get the pleasure of enjoying them.

I know lockdown is not forever and that it is for a good reason so in the meantime I will make the most of the time I have to go armchair travelling via my phone. And all for free so it's a good way to save money!
