Playing the Share Market

 My side hustle is something I started to do for the enjoyment of finding and photographing beautiful second hand objects for others to buy and enjoy. As the money earned was extra money I had no specific plans for I decided to have a go with it on the share market via one of the many apps you can use now.

In days past the share market felt like a daunting prospect that involved potentially convoluted means to try and invest so it was not something I ever attempted and I certainly didn't want to pay some financial adviser to invest money for me. To be honest we had a huge mortgage so didn't have any spare money to invest anyway!

Being able to access the share market directly under my own steam has been an interesting experience and one that has been fun to have a go at. Overall returns so far look pretty mediocre (still better than in a bank!) but I currently have some individual portfolios with over 30% return which is not bad I think.

It's a learning curve and I figure that I might get better at it and increase my side hustle money some more. If I lose it all it doesn't matter as it was extra money I had made and certainly is not large amounts of money . I am prepared to let it sit for a bit and see what happens over time - I'm not expecting to make a fortune but I'll have fun trying!
