Supermarket Takeaways

Being in lockdown the takeaway bars are not open but a trip to the supermarket yesterday for some essentials yesterday meant that I could buy some extras for weekend treats to make the routine of lockdown meals a bit more bearable for the teenagers in the house (and maybe to make the meal cooking a lot simpler for us for one night!)

Two pizzas for under $5.00 each - made in Italy no less - and a bag of seasoned wedges that we cooked in the air fryer made for a cheap "takeaway meal". For around $14 it meant we got a takeaway meal for 5 people for a Saturday night for much cheaper than buying real takeaways and there was no drive needed to go and get them either!

The meal was tasty and filling and a bargain in my book and there were no complaints from the teenagers so a win all round! I think I'll be keeping an eye out for these pizzas again to put in the freezer for even when we are not in lockdown and people get a hankering for expensive takeaways!
