DIY Beauty Treatment

Being in lockdown means there are not a lot of options to get things done. I remember friends and colleagues stressing during the last one as their hair colour was growing out and the greys were on show. There were multiple memes about shaggy hairstyles and home cutting mistakes. Neither of these are an issue for me as I let my greys grow out about 4 years ago and I cut my own fringe  - getting a hair trim a couple of times a year. No stresses about waiting there.

 In regards to other grooming treatments I have been DIYing my own bikini wax for a number of years now so being in lockdown was not a barrier to getting this done and I was able to get on a do it today.

My choice to DIY this years ago happened for a number of reasons - not least because I found it challenging to find the time to make an appointment to get it done. If I found time at home on a given day I could just get on and do it. No appointment needed, no need to drive anywhere and all done in the privacy of my own bathroom at home!

The money saved doing this adds up - the container of wax costs around $15.00 and I get multiple treatments from one jar. A salon bikini wax costs $30-40 so all that money saved has been put to better use - like paying our mortgage off sooner! Worth it!
