Pasta Maker

 This title could refer to either of two things. The infrequently used item in our kitchen drawer that we had had for many years or my daughter who decided she wanted to learn how to make pasta. Being in lockdown there was time to do this and if someone else was thinking about making tea I was all in despite the potential mess in the kitchen!

Out came one of the Jamie Oliver recipe books we have - with pictures of him looking so young! Out came the forgotten pasta maker which I set up and showed her how to use. Then while I lounged on the couch (watching some more Downton Abbey of course!) she followed the recipe and I must say she did a fine job.

Her pasta came out beautifully soft and with a fresh tomato sauce packed with vegetables it tasted delicious. She learned a valuable skill and we got the have fresh pasta for tea for the price of some eggs and flour and the time to make it. Satisfying and delicious!
