My Just Reward

 With all five of us stuck at home in lockdown it feels harder to find the space to clean the house properly as there always seems to be someone under my feet or people going around behind me undoing my work as fast as I can do it! This always reminds me of a saying I read on an ecard - "Cleaning your house with children around is like brushing your teeth with a mouthful of Oreos!" (I would add husband's in there too!)

Today however I managed to pull off the seemingly impossible task of getting the house cleaned including getting floors all vacuumed and mopped, and the bathrooms and toilets done. The weather felt unseasonably warm but it meant I also got 4 loads of washing dry on the line including bed linen.

After a day's hard, but satisfying, work I managed to make it out to the spa pool with a G&T in my favourite thrift shop crystal tumbler and i got to watch the sunset while my husband made dinner. It was very relaxing and felt well deserved.

Now for bed in crisp clean cotton sheets - heaven! It's the small things that can make life feel so content!
