Bygone Eras

 After talking to some other mum's in my son's football team about op shopping I was told about a couple of shops I didn't know about so today I managed to find time to visit them after dropping my daughter at work. One of them was large and had a huge amount of items that i had to be good and resist buying. I was mainly aiming to find wollen yarn for my corchet projects and did find some however I cam across this little oval frame and couldn't resist it.

It was a grand total of $3.00 and I initially said to myself that it wasn't what I was there looking for however my other rational brain said that oval timber is not easy to come by and it was so unique and such a good price I couldn't leave it behind. I even kind of like the image in it as it evokes a bygone era beautifully.

I am imagining where I am going to hang this - I have a new project I am planning and budgetting for. I will keep you posted once I have more concrete details about it. In the meantime I will enjoy this little picture bought for pittance and yet giving me so much pleasure already. Now back to crocheting that "new" woolen yarn...
