Party Time

My husband knocks around with a group of guys who meet every Wednesday for a catchup. They are good at organising social events with their partners and often it involves some sort of dress up for a laugh. They have an old wool shed that they renovated several years ago which makes a great venue for a party and tonight was just one such party.

There was a rugby game on so they arranged it around that but the aim was a pot luck dinner with everyone, B.Y.O. drinks, watch the rugby then some dancing to old vinyl records on the record player. We all had to dress up as a rock star of our own interpretation which is always challenging but fun to see what everyone chose.

I must admit late in the afternoon I could feel myslef flagging and not feeling very enthusiastic for a night out but I rallied, sorted out an outfit and we headed down with our food and drink. We ended u having a grrat night. The local team won their rugby final so the guys were all feeling happy 9it didn't bother me either way...) The food was delicious and copious and I had a great time dancing.

It turned out to be a low cost night out that was losts of fun and full of laughs and with the disco ball I even got the nightclub experience in our local shed - without feeling really old as everyone there was around my age! Bonus!
